In order to accomplish these objectives, please convey the following actions:
1. View the video on a Webinar on Sociocultural Awareness. 2. Read the power point presentation on Teaching Cultural Competence. 3. View the video on American Co-cultures. 4. Read the information about the differences between individualistic and collectivist cultures on the site below.
Activity 1.
After viewing the video on Sociocultural Awareness, write the key concepts related to this topic and provide an example for each. The above to reflect yourself on this aspect of the Communicative Competence teachers and students need to develop.

Activity 2.
Based on the Teaching Cultural Competence Power Point Presentation, on a two column chart, write five similarities and five differences in cultural aspects (everyday living, interpersonal relations, values, biliefs, attitudes, bodylanguage, social conventions, ritual behavior, etc.) related to Latinos and Americans.

Activity 3.
After viewing the video on American Co-culture, write a 150 words essay about this topic, consider the relation of the different cultures ( Italian-American, Mexican-American, Latino, African-American, Japanese-American, etc. ) in the USA in relation to the Amish.
Activity 4.
After reading this site, write a two column chart specifying the main features of Individualistic and collectivist cultures. Also, write a list of countries whose cultures are either Individualistic or collectivist to improve your understanding of the different cultures you might have in a diverse classroom.
